Compliance a major issue in corporate travel management

Travel management company, BCD Travel, has released its 2008 Travel Program Survey, revealing a 23 per cent increase in companies whose corporate travel policy enforcement is either “strict” or “moderate to strict”, compared to 2007.

The corporate travel management report showed that 59 per cent of respondents were proactively seeking to increase corporate travel compliance in their organizations compared to 36 per cent in 2007.

During tough economic times, corporate travel clients are appreciating even more the quality and value of advice provided by travel management companies such as BCD Travel.

Inspite of the tough economic times, the use corporate and business travel in comparison to commercial travel can only see a rise in it. The recent news about the chief executives of Detroit’s Big Three carmakers—General Motors, Ford and Chrysler using private jets to fly to Washington inorder to meet the House Financial Services Committee, is a perfect example of the increasing trend of corporate and business jet travel. The meeting was arranged to discuss how the companies were going to trimdown and streamline their businesses.
